I run mine on the carpet of my living room. It spins and slides all over the place on my hardwood floors, so I ordered some softer tires. It's fine to run them on low pile carpet right?

I've found that the fibers in low pile carpet are too small to interfere in any major way. They do tend to coat the black chassis, but don't get pulled into the wheels or diff. Use the vaccuum if human hair becomes a problem. And if you do start picking up human hair, you will be having problems. That goes for all surfaces.
I race at work, on low carpet. I spend a lot of nights there (tomorrow night, for example) and there really is an awful lot of carpet space. Actually a lot of starter-houses are smaller than that carpeted room. I'd guess I have put about 30 miles on my epoch there. it keeps me sane.
on the home front, I'm gathering supplies for a 4ft x 4ft 'offroad' track. Right now it's crudely-shaped foam glued together, but my new model railroad scenery book is going to help me to get it looking like rallycross in kenya.

It's great to see another Rally fan! I would love to see your
track when finished. I still need to assemble my jumps and
stuff to make my track a rally course as well. If you want to
see my home basement Epoch track go to galleries and
check out the Waterford Home Track thread. I am glad
you are happy with your Epoch as most people that get them find out that they are quite the gems of Micro R/C. Keep us posted on your
Kenya Rally track!!!!
