Hi everyone,

I discovered that many subcompact cars made as 1/32 slotcars will fit the Epoch chassis. Here is an adaptation of an old french car from the '60, the Simca Rally 2, made by Revell/Scalextric. The details are amazing, this is really Mini-Z Autoscale quality, only tiny ;)
Very few mods were needed on the body: few dremeling front to make room for the servo, slight dremeling from inside the wheel wells, cutting out the front screw pillars, gluing original Epoch side body mounts and painting the windows black from the inside.
Chassis side, I had to drill 2 new holes for the "H plate" screws to make the wheelbase longer by 5mm. I also painted silver the outer rims of the oldschool Skyline wheels. The tires that came with the slotcar are softer than stock and they fit perfectly the Epoch rims but they were too big for the front. But it makes for a perfect combo with the Epoch tires front because I have now soft rear, hard front.

Next projects, probably all Scalextric: NSU rally, Trabant racer (that old tiny "east german" car), Alpine A 110.

Very nice work, you might like to peruse my site for some inspiration. I can't find any info, but I suspect the Toyota Publica I built and the Trabi are inspired by one another.

Thanks D, Otp,

Yes I know your site, very interesting and informative. You did a beautiful job on both the S800 and Publica. Its true that the Trabi and Publica look quite similar althrough the Trabi may be even shorter by 1 foot in real size, and so I wonder if the Trabant will not be too short for the Epoch WB.
