will any tyres work from any of the major slot car scales?

I figured these would be too large:

i have not touched slot cars in over 20 years :( so i wouldn't be of any help.

i do have some sillicone tire samples coming from austria. as soon as i get them i'll let you know how they perform

i got my sillicone tire samples in the mail last night.... to say they are sticky is a vast understatement. they make mini-z gpm 8 deg tires feel hard.

i have not run the car on the track yet but i put the tires on the rear wheels. no one needs that much traction up front. the tires are soo soft you can rip them simply be stretching them too much to get them on the wheel. i already tore one apart. once on, the fit is excellent. they are slightly thinner and slightly clear in color. i will try to get pictures uploaded.

Looks cool, I can see what you mean, they just LOOK tacky. So how expensive were they? Looks like you could just buy a tube of the material and cut off as many tires as you need :)

they are made by a mzr (cooldragon) member from austria. i do not have pricing info and i don't know that they will ever be made in large numbers. he makes some racer tires and a large assortment of overland tires for his own enjoyment and some locals. i was just lucky enough to get a set of these and some other's from him for reviews. i will ask him to post more info here that way any requests can be delt with personally rather than going thru a middle man.

i don't think you will find anything else with nearly as much traction as these have. one battery draining run has shown them to be very good! we'll se how long they hold up.

talks are in place to bring these tires to the shop.... i'll try to post any updates when i have them.

the stock tires seem to do well on the rcp track however the sillicone tires would be to much better use on harder surfaces to take full advantage of the very soft nature to them
