Sure - I guess a lot of people allready did that... and it works quite good.
Here's what I did:

Remove the "nail" that is your front axle - replace it with some 2mm carbon fibre or steel shaft - you need to grind it down to 1,5mm to fit it into the knuckle. Put a 5x2x2,5 mm bearing on the shaft and slide the rim onto the bearing - ready to roll. he rear is a bit more tricky but it can also be done... On most of my Epochs I only have bearings in the front, though... Only one has full bearings and the ones in the back have been done LATE at night, so they are not perfect as you can see in the picture - on the back those are Mini-Z-bearings by the way...
(hope you understand my poor english)

Good job Janniz! That's a mod i am working on right now.
I put some photos in the gallery awhile back.

This way works but it is a bit of a pain to get perfectly lined up. The pin is reversed then epoxied in. I also made one with a larger bearing that replaces the stock wheel and clips right into a modified hub, but I used a lathe and a home made inside cutter to modify the hub and make the axle, eventually I will make the other side.
Never tried to put any in the stock motor mount, but all of the custom mounts I’ve made have them and they do make a difference.
