i stripped the plug jack out of my base charger to use with my peak charger. some fellow club members are getting chassis/body kits and need charging plugs for thier cars. betty k. said 3mm plugs would work.

i went to rs today and bought $15 worth of plug connectors and one seemed to fit better than the rest. it's the 3.5x1.1mm dc power plug

the neat thing about these is you screw off the protective sheath. now i need to know how to wire the + and - to the plug in the correct order. does anyone knwo what the standard pattern is?

So will you be running a few Epoch laps on the 22nd? If so how many cars do you think will be racing?

If you needed another car I could lend you one ;) of course you’d have to send it back unless someone decided they couldn’t live without it that is then I’m sure we could work something out.

i think we should be good but thank you very much for the offer :) unless you have more of those double barrel cars ;)

does anyone know off hand if the f1 core transponders fit under the epochs? i'm hoping they do

Was thinking about lending you one of these:

The Levan body has a custom carbon fiber mount that uses the last chassis hole so the Reapers batteries can be quickly swapped out without loosening or removing any screws  . Do you have a good LiPo charger?

Well Arch I hope the address is correct since one of my babies is in the mail, it should be there Friday.

Package contents:
• One Epoch w/
o Turbo
o Black Anodized Shotgun BB motor mount
o Dual 3.3 ohm coreless motors
o 7 tooth pinions
o Power “on” LED.
o Ball bearing front hubs w/ carbon fiber axles.
o Removable battery mod.
o Red EVO Rally body w/ wide left carbon fiber body mount for quick change battery pack mod.
• One 340 mAh LiPo battery pack
• One 190 mAh NiMH battery pack
• One external battery charging pigtail.

The front hubs and axles on this car are an experiment that seems to work but has yet to face any serious track time.

Am hoping that aside from longer runtimes do to less rolling resistance the front ball bearings will also improve handling. My theory is that when under power the rear wheels are pushing the front and if they push faster than the front are willing to roll then they slide loosing a small amount of traction not much of a problem with a stock Epoch but once you increase the speed you run into handling problems you never knew existed. You can notice the phenomenon on a larger scale when the front wheels get bound up with hair and lint, another problem fixed by the fixed axle ball bearing design since only the hub and shielded bearing are turning.

Cool hope it gets there in time, should I sent it priority.

Have been looking for a semi permanent 20” x 20” garage/party tent so I can set up at least the 2 wide RCP track in my in my back yard this spring and summer for Epoch testing, a local club, Mini-Z HFAY, party fun etc my current tent is just too narrow, LoL never buy a house without a garage, barn, large basement or something.

Speaking of HFAY I noticed that Spoon posted a Mini-96 time which got me to wondering how an Epoch time would compare, which naturally led to the question “why not HFAY for Epochs?” Would be a great entry level or race at home format, easy to find the space, just 8’ x 12” for the Mini-96, and reasonably affordable since you could get four cars, the track, and a home built laser timing system for under $500, it would be a blast.

great idea! i'll have brian take a look over here and see if we can't atleast get epoch mini-96 time trails or something like that going? lets keep that idea going in the existing thread ;) http://epoch1-43.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88
